We are currently recruiting for an experienced commercial contracts person to take responsibility for managing all commercial contract completion at Bango. You will be able to identify and communicate all key matters usually contained in commercial software contracts and capture the information needed from across Bango to negotiate and complete these agreements.

This is a part time opportunity, 3-4 days per week.

Role and Responsibilities

  • You will communicate with large corporate procurement departments and participate in meetings with Bango customers and partner legal teams
  • Review contracts issued by third parties, identifying information that needs to be provided by Bango, and manage the resolution of contractual conflicts and issues as these arise
  • Legal review, security review, platform ops review, and finance review of contracts, often working through a procurement portal used by the customer
  • Co-ordinate contact between teams at Bango and with our customers and partners, through arranging calls and meetings, and ensuring that in tri-partite negotiations all moving parts are coordinated
  • You will also manage storage and archiving of contracts produced by Bango and by third parties Bango works with
  • Create new versions of agreements, asking legal to review updates, and then publish new versions.

Experience

  • You may be a lawyer that has worked in the world of commercial software contracts for a number of years.
  • You do not need to be a qualified lawyer, but you do need extensive software contracts experience and knowledge.
  • A solid understanding of legal terminology as it relates to software contracting, plus working knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Experience of working with large company procurement teams, through RFP and related processes
  • You are a logical thinker, a “noise reduction” approach to processing large numbers of contractual items, and an attitude of conflict resolution
  • Experience in SaaS type agreements
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing the positions Bango is required to take on contractual matters and explain the reasoning for these positions

Desirables

  • Experience of working with the telecommunications industry
  • Ability to work well under pressure, many of Bango agreements are deadline driven
  • You are a naturally organized person, a big part of this role will be coordinating teams at Bango and external customers and partners
  • Possess excellent communication skills to confidently speak to large corporate procurement departments
