The Role

Bango is hiring an experienced, energetic, creative and flexible Program Director to join our US team and drive new projects with Amazon, Microsoft and US telco’s including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.  The successful candidate will be able to meet both the current pipeline of project delivery and future opportunities that arise from the continued growth of our business, and from winning new customers in the USA.

The right person will have proven success delivering customer integration projects in an efficient and proactive way. You will focus on driving commercial success for our customers, managing costs, mitigating risk, and setting and meeting deliverables on-time and to budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead customer engagements towards clearly defined goals, effectively, on time, and to budget
  • Work across all stakeholder groups to refine project scope and deliverables
  • Act as the conscience of the business during key project phases and milestone
  • Coordinate internal planning activities, and collaborate with external 3rd parties
  • Own the project communication plan, delivering clearly articulated status reports
  • Proactively manage project scope creep, utilising change requests and coordinating with sales when required
  • Create clear plans to succeed, considering customer priorities, timelines, functionality and resource planning and availability
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements, always moving Bango forwards in engagement effectiveness
  • Maintain objectivity and perspective at all times, represent Bango professionally, and build lasting relationships

Essential Skills

  • Excellent project management skills
  • A desire to make a real ‘impact’ in the business, and help lead and innovate process improvements
  • Comfortable managing multiple ongoing projects, each at various stages in their lifecycle
  • Experienced in use of PM tools (MS Project, RAID logs, CRs, etc.)
  • Sound technical fundamentals, experienced with IT software integration projects
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong work ethic, with an eye for details, and a willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Flexibility approach to working hours, meeting customer needs across time zones as required


  • Experience with program management or customer relationship management would be valuable
  • Experience working with Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T would be an advantage
  • Experience working with Network Operators and/or within the Payments sector
  • Strong negotiation skills, with 'win win' mentality across project scope and timescales
  • Able to travel occasionally to work onsite with customers and global partners
  • Experience delivering international projects across multiple countries, time zones and languages
  • PMI, Prince2 or similar accredited project management accreditation(s)
