The Person

Reporting to the Bango Resale business owner, the Business Development Manager plays an important leadership role by bringing new partners into the Bango circle and ensuring these partners grow and thrive with Bango.

This position is a customer facing role and presents a great opportunity for an ambitious and capable sales executive to win new business with YouTube, Disney, Warner Brothers, Netflix, Pandora, Tidal, Spotify, Hulu, Lionsgate and many others.

You will collaborate with the technical sales, product and operational teams with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding forecasts and deal closure targets across new and existing customers.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and work to a sales plan, across tactical and strategic opportunities
  • Develop sales materials and strategies to win your deals faster and with more certainty
  • Identify and evaluate new 3rd party partnership opportunities, beyond direct sales deals
  • Secure customer approvals for case studies, quotes, references and press releases.
  • Upsell all Bango Platform services, including Audiens and Bango Marketplace
  • Identify and drive new ideas to improve Bango products, processes and results

Essentials:

  • Bring an attitude of "it will be done" to the team; always planning for success
  • Proven in winning sales deals with tier 1 customers, with excellent commercial and contract skills
  • Able to break in to new customers as well as build business with existing customers
  • Experienced in working to sales targets, including new deal wins and revenue targets
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing opportunities at various stages in their sales cycle effectively
  • Effective influencer intent on delivering standard product sales
  • Possess core skills in planning, problem solving, communications, and customer relationship management with good presentation and active listening abilities
  • A high level of numeracy, literacy and the ability to generate high quality documentation
  • Available for international and domestic travel and be highly self-motivated

Desirables:

  • Contacts within digital content providers, like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Netflix, Spotify, Tidal etc.
  • Experience in forming partnerships, OEM deals and white label service deals
  • History of IT sales in payments, integrations and/or platform services
  • Good technical, project and finance knowledge
